Brainie
This game is called Brainie. In this game you have to look t the number on the side and add the numbers to get the number. For example, if the number on the side is 14, I could go 7 + 7 but I don't have any sevens so I could go 5 + 5 = 10 + 6 - 2 = 14. If I do that more of the numbers will go away and I will have a higher score. If you want to play this game, here is the link: http://www.coolmath-games.com/0-brainie/index.html
Rounding and Compensating
This week in maths,we are learning to round and compensate numbers. Rounding and compensating numbers is hard and easy. For example, 45 + 28 = ? you have to plus 2 to 28 so you 30 because the nearest number to 28 is 30. 45 +30 = 75. Then you have to take away 2 from 75 so its 75 - 2 = 73. I need to learn this because if something like this pops up in college, I can remember what I did in primary school. This is the worksheet we were learning how to round and compensate numbers:

How to make a cup of tea
How To Make A Cup Of Tea
Tea is a type of drink you make at home. Tea comes in many different flavours. Tea was first invented by a chinese emperor called Shen Nung. People make tea differently from everyone else.
The ingredients people need to make tea are hot boiling water, a tea bag (any flavour), milk and sugar. People also need utensils so the utensils are just a teaspoon, a cup and a plate if needed. Those are the only ingredients and utensils needed.
To make tea, people need to follow these steps. First you have to boil water to get hot water. When the hot water is done, get a tea bag and put it into a cup (get plate to if needed). Then you have to pour the hot water into the cup and wait for the tea bag to brew. If people like tea strong leave the tea bag in for longer or if people like tea a bit weak then leave tea bag in for a little bit. When the tea has brewed, take the tea bag out and put 2 or 1 teaspoon in the cup. Finally, pour one drop of milk into the cup and stir. Now you can enjoy your tea.
Many different people like and make tea differently. Some people like tea strong, and some like tea weak. People also make tea differently on how people like tea.
