Duffy Assembly - Niva Retimanu
Today, we had a Duffy assembly at our school. There was a person that was on the radio and news at our school for the Duffy assembly. The Duffy presenter was a lady and she was our Duffy role model. When she was talking, she said "It's cool to read, cool to achieve". Her name was Niva Retimanu. She is a Samoan radio announcer. She has over 500 books in her house. When she was young, she couldn't read so he dad took her to the library and she started to read. We thank GE money because they gave us the books.

Egg Fractions
This game is called Egg Fractions. This game is suitable for 7 - 11 year olds. In this game you have to look at the drawn fractions and match the drawn fractions to the fraction below. The answer to 1/4 is the drawn fraction in the middle. This game was very easy for me because I know my fraction. There are many stages to choose from but I chose this one. I would like to play games like this because it helps people learn new things. If you want to play the game, this is the link:

How To Play Ripper Rugby
How to play Ripper Rugby
Ripper rugby is a game like rugby but tackling and hurting other people is not allowed. Ripper rugby is just a fun game that you can play anywhere.
To play ripper rugby, equipment is always needed. The equipment to play ripper rugby is tags, belts, two teams, a rugby ball, open space (easier on fields), cones, coaches and an empire. When people play ripper rugby, people also need a big space to play it. If your school has a big field, that’s a good place to play ripper rugby. When people get ready for ripper rugby, people have to set the cones out so when the player goes to score for the team, they know wear to score.
Playing ripper rugby is like playing rugby but is a little bit different. Each team has to have tags the colour of their team. For example, if there is a blue team, people in that team have to have blue tags. If a team has the ball, the other team has to rip the tag of the player before he score for the team. If the player holding the ball gets his or her tag ripped off, he or she has to stay on the spot and pass the ball to the team player. Tackling or full contact is disallowed. To score a point, you need to get a try like on rugby.
Ripper rugby is a fun game that should be played everywhere like the beach or big fields. When you play ripper rugby, make sure people enjoy ripper rugby because it is a fun game.

Using Apostrophes
This game is called Using Apostrophes. This game helps me because in my writing, I can now learn how to use Apostrophes at the correct time. I didn't know how to use apostrophes before so this game was very helpful. This game was easy and hard for me. I got 6 correct and 1 wrong which means my knowledge of using apostrophes is good not perfect. This game is very good because it teaches you something and I would like to play more games like this. This is the link to the game:

How to make muffins
WALT: write an explanation.
Muffins can be made sweet or savoury. There are many different ingredients inside them. When it comes to making muffins, make sure the muffins taste nice.
When making muffins there are things needed. The dry ingredients needed for making muffins are flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa and baking soda. The wet ingredients needed for making muffins are milk, eggs, melted butter and vanilla essence. The utensils needed for making muffins are muffin trays, spoons, a bowl and cups.
There are also steps to make muffins. The steps are to put the dry ingredients into a bowl. Then put the wet ingredients into a different bowl. Mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Put the muffin cups into the muffin tray so the mixture can be put in. Fill the muffins cups up with the mixture. Put the muffin tray with the mixture into the oven. Then bake for 10 to 15 minutes. When 10 to 15 minutes is over, take the muffin tray out and test the muffin. Leave to cool.
When it comes to making muffins, people can add anything edible in them. When making healthy muffins, these muffins need healthy fruits.
