New NZ Flag

I choose the first flag to be the new flag for New Zealand because I like the colours black and white. This flag represents New Zealand because it has a silver fern on it and the silver fern is a traditional plant in the Maori culture and the Maori are popular in New Zealand.  I think this flag should be our new New Zealand flag.

NZ War Heroes

Dave Gallaher was a soldier in WW1.  He used to be a All Blacks rugby player.  His rank in the army was a Sergeant.  He spent his childhood in Katikati School.  Dave Gallaher was born on 30 October 1873.  Dave was born in Ramelton, County Donegal, Ireland.  Dave died in Passchendaele Belgium on 4 October 1917 aged 43.  He was buried Nine Elms British Cemetery, Belgium.
