ANZAC Day

Yesterday at school, we had a day when we had to remember the New Zealand and Australian soldiers that died at Gallipoli and WW1.  We had to make Red Poppies and crosses with the fallen soldiers names on it.  The cross that my friend had to plant was for Dave Gallaher.

It looks pretty good that you are all wearing a red poppy and holding up a cross. I have created a cross with my friend and the soldiers name is Thomas Grey. Who was your friend that planted the cross.

Kia Ora Samuel,
The day when we planted those white crosses, I got a little bit sad because many New Zealanders died. It was great to plant the crosses because then we can remember the fallen soldiers of WW1. Do you know of any soldiers in the war who was related to you?

Kia Ora Ifa,
I got a little bit sad to when we planted those crosses. It must have been hard for the parents of those soldiers who died. I wish I could but I don't know of any soldiers in the war who were related to me.
